Reginald Van Lee

Reginald Van Lee is a philanthropist, an arts advocate, a retired Executive Vice President of the global management and technology consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton. He was appointed by President Obama to the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and was formerly appointed by President Obama to the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. He is co-author of the book, ‘Mega communities—How Leaders of Government, Business and Non-Profits Can Tackle Today’s Global Challenges Together’. He was also a former performer with Alvin Ailey Dance Company. Reggie attended MIT, where he received his Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees. After a brief stint working for Exxon, in Houston, he went back to school to complete his MBA from the Harvard. He then joined Booz Allen Hamilton. While working at Booz Allen, Reggie discovered a desire to do everything he could to support the arts and other aspects of communities he loved, and in which he believed. Among other awards recognizing his commitment to service, he received New York University’s C. Walter Nichols Award for outstanding community service, the Abyssinian Development Corporation Renaissance Award for his long-time and faithful commitment to the Harlem community and the Percy E. Sutton Civic Leadership Award from the Apollo Theater Foundation, and was recognized as one of New York’s finest Philanthropists. Mr. Van Lee serves as Chairman of the board of the Washington Performing Arts and of the National CARES Mentoring Movement.  He is a Trustee of the Studio Museum in Harlem and is a member of the Executive Leadership Council. He is Vice Chair of the board of The Washington Ballet. In 2008 Reggie received the Black Engineer of the Year Award, Consulting Magazine named Reggie as one of the top 25 consultants in the world, and he was identified as one of the 2009 Washington Minority Business Leaders by the Washington Business Journal. He is a founding member of the Clinton Global Initiative.

Reggie is committed to helping the parents, teachers, mentors, and advocates who serve our nation’s youth.

Bob Mackie

Costume and fashion designer Bob Mackie is a nine-time Emmy Award winner and has three Oscar nominations. His Broadway credits include Moon Over Buffalo and Putting It Together starring Carol Burnett, Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public, Minnelli on MinnelliLorelei with Carol Channing and On the Town with Bernadette Peters and Phyllis Newman. Broadway on television: “Once Upon a Mattress” starring Carol Burnett, “Gypsy” starring Bette Midler, “Carousel,” “Brigadoon,” “Of Thee I Sing” and “Kismet.” His inventive and memorable designs have helped raise entertainers like Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Elton John, Ann-Margret, Bernadette Peters, Mitzi Gaynor, Carol Burnett, Bette Midler, Pink and Cher to iconic status both onscreen and off.

Graciela Daniele

Graciela Daniele has directed on Broadway, at Lincoln Center and The Public Theater, and at regional theaters and has earned 10 Tony Award nominations and six Drama Desk nominations. Her Broadway director/choreographic credits include Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s LifeAnnie Get Your GunMarie ChristineOnce on This Island, Chronicle of a Death Foretold and Dangerous Game. She has musical staged/choreographed such shows as Ragtime (Astaire, Ovation [L.A.], NAACP, and Callaway Awards), The Goodbye GirlZorba with Anthony Quinn, The Rink starring Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She choreographed the New York Shakespeare Festival production of The Pirates of Penzance on Broadway, Los Angeles and London, the motion picture of Pirates, and three Woody Allen films including Mighty Aphrodite, for which she won the 1996 Fosse Award, and Everyone Say I Love You, for which she won the 1997 Fosse Award. Ms. Daniele directed and choreographed A New Brain, which enjoyed an extended run in the summer of 1998 at Lincoln Center Theater. She is a recipient of the 1998 "Mr. Abbott" Award for Outstanding Achievient by a Director/Choreographer. Ms. Daniele directed and choreographed Michael John LaChuisa’s Little Fish (Second Stage) and Bernarda Alba (Lincoln Center Theater) along with the Lincoln Center Theater production of William Finn’s Elegies: A Song Cycle. Most recently, she has choreographed The Visit on Broadway and the world premiere of Sousatzka at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto. Graciela was a TDF Open Doors education program (now called The Wendy Wasserstein Project) mentor for 13 years.
